About Us

About Skip

Project SKIP is a not-for-profit organisation created to support dancers beyond the steps building confidence, resilience, focus, and connection through dance and wellbeing.

Led by a passionate team of dance and wellbeing professionals, SKIP began in a small regional community and has been delivered to hundreds of students over the past four years, proving its impact.

Now, we’re taking SKIP to studios across Australia, giving teachers and studio owners the tools, support, and community to nurture happier, healthier dancers.

We are also introducing Project SKIP into regional schools. With program mapped to the NSW PDHPE School Curriculum, Project SKIP offers an interactive, engaging and high impact option for teachers, and one that is simple and cost effective to implement.

Inclusion. Empower. Community

WHERE WE

HAVE BEEN

2021 — The First Season
SKIP launched its very first season in a small regional community in the Snowy Mountains. Born out of a post-pandemic need to rebuild connection and confidence, the program used dance as the platform and wellbeing as the foundation to support young people.

2022 — Building Momentum
We expanded our workshops and performances, reaching more local schools and dance students. The impact was clear, students were growing in confidence, resilience, and social connection.

2023 — Project SKIP is Born
Project SKIP was officially created and taken to the
South Coast of NSW, delivering wellbeing-through-dance programs to new communities and expanding our reach beyond our hometown.
It was also the
third season of our Regional Youth Dance Company, bringing together talented young dancers to perform, connect, and grow through the SKIP philosophy.

2024 — Proof of Impact
By 2024, SKIP had reached over
1,500 students across schools and dance communities in South East NSW. With four years of delivery behind us, SKIP had become a trusted and proven wellbeing-through-dance initiative.

2025 — Launching Nationally
SKIP is officially launching to studios across Australia, providing ready-to-play wellbeing modules, expert guidance, and a supportive community. What began as a local idea is now a movement to support young dancers nationwide.

SKIP HAS REACHED OVER 1500 SCHOOL STUDENTS

three Elements SKIP FOCUSES ON

Building strong relationships in the studio helps students feel included, supported, and part of something bigger. Connection creates belonging, teamwork, and joy in every class.

Life inside and outside the studio comes with challenges. Through SKIP, students learn how to bounce back from setbacks, manage stress, and stay positive during busy or difficult times.

Dance requires commitment, structure, and consistency. SKIP helps students develop the discipline and focus they need to achieve their goals—skills that carry into school, work, and life.
